Lapidary: Tues & Thurs 12:30 -3:30

Cutting a rock/stone into slabs and fashioning a cabochon to set into jewelry ( a cabochon is a rock that is flat on the bottom and rounded on top to allow it to be in a setting).

Price: $41.50 for 60 yrs old and over - $51.50 for under 59 yrs old. (Non-residents pay a bit more)

To sign up, go to Memorial Park Senior Center, 1800 Bryon (behind the rose garden), and ask for Sandi on Monday or Wednesday from 9 - 12. The center will be closed July 11 - 15.

Carving a mold out of wax to make a plaster mold and pouring melted metal into the form.

Learning the different angles and finding to form facets in the stone.
